South Korea's president -- who won power recently campaigning on an anti-U.S. platform -- meanwhile, has called for a stronger alliance with the United States.

"The staunch Korea-U.S. combined defense arrangement is greatly contributing to our national security," Roh Moo-hyun said in a speech at the Korean Military Academy.

"The solid (South Korea)-U.S. alliance should be maintained even more so," Associated Press reports him saying.

Sorry chum. Toooooooooooo late.

You made your bed, now lie in it while the NK's drive over it in a T-72.

Go RUMSFELD! Bring them boys HOME! Now! Today!

ESAD, Roh Moo-hyun!

OH... wait... I forgot. The UN Security Council will protect him! I'll bet French, Russian and German troops are already boarding ship for the SK DMZ.

Not to, worry... SK is well covered.

I'm telling you send the Japanese to Korea and it'll be over with.

It will become Greater Japan. Then if the Chinese get pissy you unleash the Mecha building capabilities of the Jappies upon them too and it's done. :D :D :D

It may only be me, but I am definitely seeing more folks saying "Bring ALL the troops home from everywhere" on the news shows.

From the common man in the street to the pundit talking heads, the idea seems to be taking root.

Please continue, France, Germany and Russia. Eventually, I believe you will do my job for me.

Youre not alone.  The shift has been from "Bush is Hitler" talk to "Bring the boys home."  I love it - this is protesting I can agree with because the best interests of our fighting men are at center.

Bring them home, now.

So long as they don't release a menacing wave of televised seizure inducing cartoons, I'm happy.

IIRC South-Korea is pretty wealthy nation and is having much bigger population than NK has (and propably much healthier).
I'd say it would be pretty stupid move from NK to attack to the south.
