well i know its been about 13 years since last good war happened (that was covered by the news properly)
But around the world there has been some "small nice wars" but who cares.

Meanwhile the africans did a good job killing eachohter wihout our "western civilisation interupting" .
So far the last 8 years, they have been able to killl about 8 million of their own citizen without our help in "small wars". That is somthing ? if i can calculate that means about 1 million a year but nobody screams about that lol.
for not saying all those who starve to death as kids.
guess we can say about 8 more million people then.

I have not heard much about that in this forum, how come ?
you guys blind of just plain dumb, or better just dont wanna hear it ?

shut up the whining and start think please, and if you have a $ or a £ or a euro left start thinking about it.
we live for bying stupid items like a bigger tv,vcr, computer .... so on. Just to look good and feel well. That is ok but not for a price like this.

1 day we all have to face the fact that 1/5 of the world have the food and money that might woulda saved some millions of people.
And when they raise against us we are doomed all of us.

AK, I sure didnt ment only the US but all of the western world, I am a member of it too.
Yes we have done somthing, but not enogh i mean.
Every norwegian pays about 2% of income taxes to help those countries but heck its a drop in the ocean.
And if i understood it right we pay more than any country in world vs inhabitants.
Not to make that glorify me and my countrymen, cause i dont think that is true. ( the numbers always lying)

What i ment is all of us to wake up from the wealth, the roman empire didnt and dissapeard.

I did not say we did that, but we could always share a little since we can afford it ?

And remember, starvation and unemployment caused the second world war, they (adolf) got the masses moving by the striking: food and work for all !!!.

There was plenty of hunger and poverty in India for decades, but they didn't attack the world because of it. Now India is a food exporter, partly because of western help. Problems with food and poverty don't always lead to wars, and situations which lead to wars usually have many causes.

Air_guard, the link I posted refers only to what the US government is doing in Africa, private citizens actually do much more. However, there are some things that money can't fix, but we are working on those things as well.

You misunderstood me. I was not saying the Norweigan government is corrupt. I was referring to the Afican nations where starvation is prevalent, because the corrupt government/warring tribes, etc steal the aid that is given to them, and never reaches those in need.

ok, I sure agree with that muck, the wrong people get the wrong money somthimes.
And I hate that too, but we should never give up trying to give a helping hand.

I wish life was easyer, somone told me once: for those who give up in hope there is no way they can live a life in confidece of a better life for themselve and their aftercomers.

But that not means that we have to be stupid in the way we give help to Africa, there is possiblilty to make them hear us too.
