Paint, do you hunt out posts that say someone is leaving? I wonder if we searched it if we would find it to be true, another day perhaps I will look.  Maybe this one would of looked better titled "I need a break".  I look for these posts because I like to know who is departing this community and for what reasons.  It just seems lately that the MA lately is majority alot of vial insecure idiots that want to attack people verbally.  I also wonder if there is a pattern to the people that are vicious in the MA are also the one who post negative too?

I'm not a saint when it comes to responding to "I'm leaving" posts.

This is one of the first ones in a long time where I felt the person taking a break was actually being honest with himself and everyone else.

No scapegoats

No demands

Just someone that isn't having fun right now who is willing to admit its time for a break.

RAM,

For me, I do my best when I don't worry about anything.  When I fly just for the sake of having fun, and put no expectations on myself, I tend to do just as well as when I am working at it.

I recommend: Trying to be a dweeb.
-Do Kamikaze missions.
-Do Ground attack in a Zero, like Fatty (<S> Dude!)
-Fly bombers and goons.
-Do head-ons.
-Vulch.
-Attack the enemy, no matter what the odds, with the intention of taking just one guy out, live or die, credit or no credit.
-Fly planes that will not encourage great expectations.  (The 109F-4 has become my main ride, even for ground attack, and I am loving it.  Every kill is very satisfying in this plane.)
-When you screw up, don't dwell on it, just hit "fly" again.
-Do stupid things on purpose.  Then when you do them on accident, they won't seem to stand out, and won't seem to matter.

Give in to the Dweeb side of the force.
Tell your self, "Today I am going to be the biggest dweeb this game has ever seen.  Now, what's the stupidest thing that I can do right now...?"

In other words;
Just fly for fun!

Ram,

Just think if this was real life in 1944-45,
well it's not!  The reason you feeling down is you get to do it over and over again and your in a slump(it's not forever), because if it was real, we be saying he "was" such a good flyer.  So what if your in a slump......they come and they go.  If we all used text book flying it would really be kinda boring.  I think your taking all this a little too seriously.  Do I think your not a good flyer because of a bunch of stats?  Hell no...
So many factors figure in, but who cares!
I hate when my wife is bugging me, and I got a 190 or Chog persuing me........but I don't snap at my wife for getting shot down...it's virtual, and I get a new plane.
We all have had a "good kill" where we have made the right moves.  So what!  I don't brag about a computer kill......but, I do admire the men who were killed and risked their lives to fly and fight in the aircraft of AH, and I love those airplanes.....Here in AH we are not worthy of the people we try to represent.  It is a computer combat flight sim........Don't leave, just shake it off and have some fun.

Actually, I've noticed its alot more difficult to find kills too.  Seems the level of skill has really gone up over the last few tours.

Ram, man, dying 5 times in a row is a warmup.  I can double that in 30 seconds.
