If the NHL doesn't get a significantly different collective bargining agreement in 2004, that includes revenue sharing and some form of salary cap/tax, professional hockey is just about done.
Too many teams going bankrupt, and the small market teams just aren't competitive anymore. Do you realize that only 3 teams have won the Stanley Cup 8 out of the past 10 times (NJ Devils, Colorado, and Detroit)?
