Can one point me out to where the answer is to solve screen flashes during game play. Do faintly remember reading about it once.

I did have these before but only in the starting screen, not or less in the game.

Now I have installed a Thrustmaster flight system and the problem is now annoying.

Enable Vsync in your video card's control panel.

Skuzzy I do have checked that. Unfortunately it is still here.
I disconnected my stick and it looked gone.

Recently I installed a Thrustmaster Topgun stick with pedals and Attack throttle. Any known problems with this configuration ?

OS is Win98 , Directx 8.1

None that I am aware of.

Is that a USB combo?  Is USB sharing an interrupt with your vide card?

Is it game port?  Is your gameport/sound card sharing an interrupt with your video card?

Start->Programs->Accessories->Sytem Tools->System Information

Expand the "Hardware" list and select IRQ

Skuzzy,

it is all gameport stuff. I did check for IRQ and do attach a listing .
Since you are talking about some IRQ conflict I relocated my ethernet card from the slot beside my AGP vid card ( ASUS  V7700 GF2 GTS ) to the last one. Did not make any difference. Same IRQ. Don't know how to change these , or system won't allow me to do that.

All support appreciated.

If your screen is flickering during gameplay,  it sounds to me like a refresh rate problem. Refresh rate is how often the picture is "redrawn" on your monitor.  Your monitor has an "ideal" refresh rate and using one too high could damage your monitor, so check.  You can adjust the refresh rate in the display properties.  I recommend something above 75mHz or so. (i play at 85mHz.)

what are your PC details?  I may be able to help you with more information; assuming the suggestions so far haven't resolved your problem.

 Glad to help,

thx for the support. For this moment I can't check anything about this. Maybe it is related since I had to reinstall Windows from a image file after a crash this week. And even that gave problems.

Will call in when I have reinstalled AH.
