The never tiring PR folks of the Finnish Virtual Pilots Association have broken again some new ground with great new press for virtual online aviation.
Two major newspapers covered online flying during past month:

Also the games magazine Pelaaja had two page article about the Finnish community, Llv34, taking part in the development of IL-2 Sturmovik and IL-2: Forgotten Battles.

Next week there will be major event:
Official launch of IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles in Finland. The event will take place in Finnish Aviation Museum. The event is free admittance, open to all interested but we've also invited a lot of press, war historicians and so on. Also - the Finnish War Pilots Association informed about the publishing event in the monthly meeting, also we've sent almost 100 invitations by mail to the veterans. It seems a large number of the World War II veterans contingent will participate in the FB event.
As the local Ubi Soft rep said, she's had many wonderful discussions with the veterans, who have reserved a place in the bus that will transport press and veterans to the museum. One old fighter pilot had expressed thanks for organizing such happening, one other phonecall had an old lady asking if she can come also - his husband, war pilot, is wheelchaired and cannot move by himself - but she'd want to offer his husband the joy of participating in such event.
The IL-2: FB event is organized by Ubi Soft Nordic and Finnish Virtual Pilots Association.
