I'm Bishop and just logged on looking foward to GV battles at TankTown.  But there are none because all the fields are Bishop.

Why be a griefer and deny other players some fun just because you dislike GVs?

HTC- how about making the TankTown GV bases: 1) indestructible and unable to be taken and 2) immaterial to reset conditions?

Edit:  I just noticed TankTown VH can spawn to outside the crater.  Obviously if they were made indestructible you'd also have to remove the spawn points outside the TankTown area.

MAYBE THEY CAN BE DESTROYED BUT NOT TAKEN AS SOMETIMES IT MIGHT NEED TO BE DETROYED TO GET A POSITION BACK.IF IT IS DETROYED FOR 15 MIN A SIDE MIGHT BE ABLE TO PUSH SOME VULCHERS BACK. IT ALSO SHOULD BE A NO FLY ZONE JUST A THOUGHT

roflmao, boy that sucks.  It was a real good strike too.  Took 3 of the 4 enemy bases at almost the same time.  Combined air/ground forces of the Legion did an excellent job.

If the darn things didn't spawn out of the city area, I wouldn't have felt the need to do this.  Since they were being used to hit our freshly captured airfields, I decided to solve the problem.

I guess the answer is, if you drive GVs and like to play in the city keep the enemy contained or those of us fighting to win the map will take your toys away.

I call BS!! :)  There is 1 (ONE) gv field for each country in the crater that spawns out and it ONLY spawns to another gv field (not an airfield or airfields) outside the crater. Sounds more like "let's pee in the pool" than good stragegy :D.

If you study the map closely, it appears that the crator is a very important stategic target in itself. Look how hard it is to take by air, and look how much trouble it can inflict on the surrounding bases via its spawn points beyond the crator.

So, hell if I'm going to protect it so that you (the nme that is..) can spawn all over the place and harrass the surrounding bases. That's just too bad, buddy.

Perhaps Hitech can design a new map that has VH's that can't be captured. That would solve it all. Well there's always the dueling arena for that purpose. There's plenty of little tank sceanrios to be found in there.

Check my post right above yours. The gv fields in the crater are about as strategically important to anyone in the Trinity map as Shrilanka is important to the alliance against Iraq!!! :D

BTW, HT can only put in uncapturable fields if you want the map to NEVER change. Uncapturable fields screw up map resets (I know because I asked :p )

Ok you caught me. I am guilty of not reading all the replies, as you found out. I sometimes do that to save time ... :o

If the base, regardless of where it is, or where it spawns can, will, or does cause my side a problem holding captured territory then it must be controlled.

Keep the enemy contained, I have no problem in saving these bases till the last.  Let them out and I'll take care of it my way.

That seems simple enough, now the friendlies that like to rumble in tank town have a real agenda that means something to them personally.

Good Hunting,

Here's another idea for GV furballers:

Put the bases that spawn to tank-town right next to each HQ. Then they won't be captured so easily.
