MW-50 is working automatic IF YOU "ARM" THE SYSTEM!!
press the "W" key, your system is now "Armed" not "active" that means its NOT "working": actually injecting MW. That means as long as you fly below 100% throttle MW50 will not be injected.
If you're reaching Notleistung or Sondernotleistung (more then 100%) water methanol is injected. As soon as you go below 100% the system will stop the injection and visversa (but its active and stay this way until you switch it off again).
Ok however to prefend engine damage you have to "ARM" the system BEFOR your reaching high ATA levels. You can switch it "ARMED" when you started your engine running on idle or below 50%.
Switch it OFF if you have no MW50 leftor it may cause some damage. You have around 10 minutes on MW50 though.
But that doesnt means you can run your engine 10 minutes on Sondernotleistung!
Hope that helps
I dont have the final jet so I cant check on the reported G10 "bug".
PS. Sorry for my confusing English

Dietger
What ya need to do is before you get to fuel throttle is "arm" the mw50 (wep/boost button; default is w) then when you adavance the throttle past 100% mw50 will automatically be injected.
Agreed Dietger, except for running time.
MW-50 should be usable for 10 minutes with pauses at a lower boost setting for at least 5 minutes between use. MW-50 tank contains enough mixture for about 30 minutes of use (75 l tank, 150 l/h consumption). Please note that MW-50 use also increase your fuel consumption, so use it sparingly if you are deep inside ennemy territory...
On the jug it would appear that "water injection" is automatic above 100% throttle but can be manually turned off by using the wep/boost button.

The above are from the 109e manual that butch provided
What this means is keep rpms down especially in a dive. Above 3k rpms the emil will heat up then sieze up in 15 sec giving the eng inoperable msg.
Its important to remember to set the prop pitch to 50% (course; 100% being fine) at the start of your dive then reduce back to 0 as your rpms climb. But depending on the length of your dive just adjusting prop pitch wont keep you from over revving the eng. You will need to reduce ATA as well (throttle).
As you pull out its a bit tricky to figure the correct settings to maintain energy as you level out. The important thing is that in the emil you never want to be above 3k rpms.
After Krugar and I did a coop and I burnt my eng up chasing a bad guy I got pissed. I tried to ditch but the freaking trees reached up and snatched me out of the air.
Ended up with 5 kills in a df room no deaths afterward. The emil is my favorite 109 too bad it sucks bellybutton in AH.
Some problems with CEM as well
