yeah, but they were still crippled with british electrics so they didn't run. The car in the pic was pushed really fast by a Buick (the guys who made the rover V8) and then the buick stomped on the brakes to get out of the picture.

Notice how clean the carpet is too..Makes me wonder if he whipes off the tires before he pull it into the garage..

Couldn't agree more with the P-Car clubs..they're very active here in the PNW and the BMW club and P-club both race out of the same track sometimes even on the same days.

Im already a member of PCA, have been for oh.. about 4 years I guess (this is my second P-car), and I agree that they do run outstanding events - in a safe, controlled environment. Good autocross events, outstanding track events, and all the "show" events to go along with them.

I'm signed up for a DE event in late May - gonna have to learn this Uber-VW before I wreck it... cant wait.

Right now Im just ironing out the kinks, getting it ready for the track, and determining what my priority list is for "adjustments."

Have I mentioned that the sound of the engine is enough to cause a stiffy?

We have a young salesman at our plant who just bought a 911.

He was sitting at the desk in the Porshe dealers office signing the papers. The salesperson happened to be a woman. While signing he pronounced the word Porsh. The lady immediately corrected him by say, "No sir, it is pronounced Porsh-a".

Bobby (a Louisiana boy BTW) looked her in the eye and said
"Ma'am do you own one?"

"No", she replied,

"Well, I'll just call my car whatever the hell I want then!"

Early TVRs had Triumph engines. As I recall, it was not until the late 70's early 80's that TVR switched to the European Ford Capri V6.

Very nice 911 you got there Stuttgart951! Should be a ton of fun on the track and very reliable to boot. I take it the 944turbo will now only be a commuter car, eh?

Aye, Im looking forward to the low maint costs of this thing (compared to the waterpumper). The 951 is sold - in for an inspection right now, and unless the buyer falls through with the money (you'd be surprised how difficult ~$10K is to come up with when someone actually has to do it) it will have a nice cozy home in NY with another fellow P-car nut.

I will *Really* miss the pull of the 951... that thing is/was so fast it was almost scary (slightly modded, of course)

BTW - where did you pick up my forum name from? Pelican/Rennlist/BF.C?
