I think that was the end of the streak.

depends on what stats you look at.

fishu died like 50 times in his 350 kill streak but no one was ever awarded a kill on him

in my book (not HTC's) bailing keeps a kill streak going because you havent killed your virtual pilot even though you lost a plane.

so in a sense he is still streaking :)

good luck
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

Well, it's all moot now.  I was behind and to the right of an AR 234... saw him firing tracers forward ... then my wing fell off. lol
Some guy named Ralphs got credit for the kill.  Very Anti-climatic...
I know the 234 has rear firing guns... but was off to the side of the guy.. and it looked like the tracers were going forward... oh well.

With bailing it is much more easier.

I have serious doubts about Fishu's streak.  I've been around since day one of beta tour 1.  Every aspect of the game had so many bugs back then... have yet to here from a credible witness who watched his streak and saw him achieve it.  I'm sure Fishu was a good stick, and I'm not saying that he cheated, I just consider his "streak" very unconfirmed... like some guy in India who claims to be 214 years old.

As much as Steve has been bashed for "bragging" about this streak just by inquiring about the current record, I'm glad that he did bring it up, and we could all confirm how he was doing (intentional or not).

Personally, I consider Steve's streak the longest ever, followed by Citabria's.

There's arguably many ways to measure a streak (per plane, per tour, bails counted or not, deaths attributed to other players – or not, fighter mode only, etc.)

Very good kill streak no doubt. Just saying I always thought that kill streak ends when first ac is lost. If it is not this way, it is something good to know, because I always stopped my kill streaks, some 80+, after first bails, or trying to land badly dammaged planes instead of bailing.

Well, if ya like... call my streak over at the first bail... a collision  over an enemy base w/ a spit I killed, it then blew up, it was the only plane around.  I opened the chute too early... got called  to dinner by my wife while dangling in the silk... ran to eat, came back a while later and the base was ours...ended mission.

Fariz, I think what people mean is that there was no kill awarded as a resultt of my 2 bails.  The second one was right over our base as I was rtb w/ 5 kills... spotted a low nik over the base, held fire to 300 yards just to be sure no one would try to get in between us and my intent was obvious, then Jaycex cut in between the nik and I after I had already began firing..killshooter.  The nik was already shredded by my rounds and blew up.  Naturally, I bailed my tailless plane, no other enemy were around.. no kill awarded.  So, if it's the concensus, call the streak over at the first bail... or 128 kills.

First bail is a "died", done, dead, end of story.  Ditches count towards the streak.

WB had a hokey rule that if you "bailed" over friendly territory your streak continued.

Wanna see a bunch of score potatos huggin friendly bases ??

LOL it was comical. Cherry pick forward of a friendly base always bouncing towards friendly territory. They had it down to a science.

Much better counting "any" bail as a loooooooser.

Good run  that's just a paltry 108 better than my best. And with medication, I got over the trauma of my huge run at it.

YOU TRYING TO SHOW ME UP ?????????

Ya bastage..

That's how the score page sees it, and how I've always veiwed a streak (since I left WB).

However, during some of my own streaks that I've "Landed", some planes were completely destroyed - on fire, busted wings, gear up, etc.  I have even have put them down in the ocean, as a ditch.  These planes would have been written off in RL, just as a plane that a pilot had bailed from.

My point is, there are score page streaks, and streaks that more resemble RL.  Both are legit, as long as one makes the distinction between the two.

Eskomo, I understand this point of view also. If rules for kill streak is this way, I will follow it. Just need to know what is a rule. :)

Steve, I am not despute you result, wtg on it, I stated that with bails it is easier that without them. Bails can save your streak several times, and can make them longer.

Interesting, when one day I will get normal lag, what they will whine about? Probably someone will tell that I have 2 hands and learned to use it to my advantage.
