Heya saw   Would be perty wouldn't it flying in a hurri or spit with Belgian markings.

If I remember correctly there were a couple of Belgian flyers flying for the RAF. At the end even a Belgian squadron!?

Ok my list

I-15 (wasn't it called the ratta?)
Hurricane II A or B ?(the version with the hispanos)
P-40
Ki-84
P47M
IL2... I'm not realy a groundpounder but hell it's a tank of a plane
spit XIV

just a couple I would like to see... but I'd love anything

SWOTL... wow that takes me back... remember doing alot of tours of duty in the pony starting all over again when my radiator got hit and I had to ditch the bird   (hehehe the way your gunsight would totaly turn black) or flying that famous experimental one the Go 229?

I've said it before.. I'll say it again.  If HTC were to model a P-40, I'd fly it exclusively.

Wow!  DejaVu and I want the same thing!

i'd like to see more british planes (as well as different markings for the european allies)  i dunno, i just find then easier to fly (though they have that heavy stick felling) and they look hella cool.

i also wouldnt mind seeing more early war planes.  even though they would usually get trounced my the late-wars, i think that the dedicated early war plane flyers could hit back, in say, an early spit or a hurricane.

and gimmy some early was bombers too.  dammit my gran'pappy (lol) busted docks in north africa in a wellington (torps) and i wanna do it too.

dang, looks like i threw away my credibility by whining again......

 Mossie FB
 Beaufighter Mk21
 P-39/63 (Soviet marked)
 P-40E (RNZAF)
 LVT
 T-34
 Il-2
 Peggy/Frances
 Spit XIV

IMHO the Ju87G would be interesting, but unless a dramatic improvement in GV takes place..lone Ju's would be easy meat in the current MA

Yep, numbers 349 & 350 RAF squadrons were Belgian.  Aircraft used include Tomahawk I (349 only); Spitfire's VA, LF VB, VC, LF IXE, IXB, XIV, LF XVIE and Tempest V (349 only).

Hurricane later model.

Bristol Beaufighter.

Mosquito

I also want to join Nexx and Ripsnort in the crusade for the little German Jet Glider for the HQ

Frenchy... Tornado is my all time favourite Jet Sim, the first one 'I' ever got to lase from 20k and loved EVERY second of every part of that game... and trying to shake F14 and Mig off your bellybutton was hair raising.  Coming in for low level bombing with squadies rushing in at 800mph from every direction without using auto pilot at all in the mission and having it work....   bliss

Pop-up bombing was a treat too

To complete my life... is there a really decent Harrier sim ?  closest i got was Birds of Prey on the Amiga.

Hmmm... as usual wandering off topic... apologies all.

How about the Westland Whirlwind powered by 2 885hp Rolls-Royce Eng's and 4 nose mounted 20mm cannon this would be a nice fighter/bomber addition and something not seen in to many sims.

The Arado didnt have a fighter config but there was a "nachtjager" version with cannons carried in a ventral tray.
As for Belgian planes, I'd fly a belgian Hurri, since their version replaced the .303's with 50 cals

"the goal is just to have pretty much all of em isn't it? terrain plays a big role too - i will
fly an earlier plane when the terrain lends itself to one on one's. the late war planes
are really best in the furballs but you can get kills in an oldie 1-1."

mrfish you sound like a candidate for my "area" arena.   Terrain would help early war planes.  If they had their own area in say the canyon part of the map they would do well.  Otherwise... not.   The guns like the FF cannon and .30's were just not very good and the later faster planes would be out of range constantly.

anarky... in the current arena a p40 with 4 .30's and 2 .50's would basicaly be unarmed and slow.  You could get kills in it but it would be VERY frustrating for 99% of the players.  If you got caught alone you would be meat.

How would that be much different from flying, say, the 202, which is still one of my favorite planes in the MA?

Although I wouldn't mind having a B or an E, my preferred model would be an N.  And since HTC doesn't seem too interested in providing the earlier models, I'd bet an N would be close to the model we'd get.

Some new planes I personally would like to see:

Me 410- just a cool plane with some interesting features.

Me 163- lotta fun and a pretty good challenge.

Fi 156- I think it'd be a lot of fun to fly with such a radically different flight envelope.  It could be useful for artillery spotting when working out of a vehicle base.

H8K- The ultimate flying boat and nice looking to boot.

Ki-44- Gotta have it with an option for the 40mm cannons.  Firing 40mm cannons at pellet gun velocities would be interesting.
