Four of us are working over here for a while and we're looking for some apartments in a decent area with easy access to Finkenwerder (hope thats spelt right). We ate lunch in a small town SW of site which I can't remember the name of which was great.  What can we expect rents to be and lease arrangements??  We are in a good hotel but in a "less than good" area at the moment - advised not safe to walk out - and need to move.  Also need to lower our bar bill - last night  224 euros for 4 of us :eek: !

Beer and meal out available for help :) .

Also anyone help me get an AH fix ??

Hi Blitz - it would be good to meet up and swap stories over a beer.  I have every other weekend  off and intend to tour about a bit - here for a least 3 months. Maybe I can get down that way

Was checking online today, short term rental apartments start about 50€ a day.
They have a good train-system here and decent buses. I think they also have ferrys to cross the Elbe.
What part of town is your hotel in? The area around the main staition aint a good area at all.

Heya Sparks.... don't mention the war! :D

Hope you're having a great time over there... I've only been to Hannover and Celle and absolutely loved it there... friendly people, good beer but all the food seemed to consist of pork!  :confused:
