Inside 190s, be patient, never turn horizontaly and keep up your speed & altitude.

When the going gets tough, you can compress most better-turning fighters by going into a dive to their compression speed, then level and run.

OK, the HO is not a very popular maneuver. It`s very much like russian roulette - either both, he or you are gonna die. But all 190s are sturdy, pack a good punch and roll good - so

  SHOOT THEM IN THE FACE

The trick is not to make it a game of chicken, going straight at the enemy from d3.0. Spiral around his course, make a final correction at d800 then

  SHOOT THEM IN THE FACE

from a slightly off angle.

Remember in the 190 to not overload yourself either.  Stay light, burn the rear tank to help the balance.  Don't H2H with a Jabo 190 (no A8 or F8).. only fly the A5 or D9 as pure fighters.  The A5 is pretty light and can turn in a pinch if you don't overload it.  The D9 should be fast enough to leave any turner in the dust (well, any Spit or N1K).

Always remember you have lots of ammo in these 190's too... so don't be afraid to spray it around a bit.  HO's are a last resort since there's a pretty good chance everyone loses.

The problem with most H2H games is that they are vulches right off the runway.  That's simply not the role of the 190 when a N1K, Spit, etc can jump right on you.  190's are really meant to have some altitude under their wings they can use and some speed/energy to go vertical and use more rolling maneuvers.

If you shoot at d.2.0 you get the satisfaction of watching them continue for their HO and fly into the wall of lead at d1.0 or so.

HOs are very easy to avoid.

Never come to your mind that the enemy could use your HO attemt against YOU?

Stay fast. Do not get slow in any case, unless direct on target's 6 and firing. even then it is risky.

If he climbs, try to match it only from distance. When he attacks, be sure to be fast. Only speed will save you.

Dive if in trouble. If he follows, you will outrun him and level the E with him. If he stays above, you can't do much (in arena you'd find another fight, in H2H you have to wait).

Come in fast and try to deliver some deflection shots.

Sometimes they are not too aggressive. An aggressive 190 can surprise them, but you play a risky game. If they know what they are doing, you must be very careful.

And on a last tip, take off and climb from a different field from where the furball is.

Alt is a 190's friend, unless you blow it all at once, compress, and smash into the ground/water at 450 mph.

Btw, you guys seem to always pick the wrong arenas, which seems to be most of them atm. If only HTC would make it so your can't host until you've played for 3 month......

yes, but surprisingly very few do.  Spitfire pilots do this alot and get popped as a result.  P-38s, Me-110s, and Mossies can be a problem, but the other fighters can be taken out with an HO fairly easily.

The main reason I left H2H and started forking over my 15 bucks was to fly 190s.  In my opinion, they're not very practical in the usual h2h FFA style of low alt turnfight.

That being said, a 190 could zoom a h2h furball and easily rack up a lot of kills.  You might get bored with that though.

I should go back to h2h sometime just to see how my 190 would do there.
