My guess is Wednesday, March 19, 18:45 hrs, Central time.

Gives the inspectors and civilians time to leave Baghdad, and also would be around the same time of day that CNN broke in and reported bombs falling on Baghdad in 1991.

Sheesh, nobody wants to guess when the war will start? Man, I thought this post would be up in the 100's by now.

friday, midnight, baghdad time.
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

Having the moon down is important so the stealth aircraft are not silhouetted for the Iraqi AA guns.

The figure being leaked for the speech tonite is 72 hours.  Its Tuesday, 3 or 4 am now, so I'd guess Friday, same time, or late Friday eve-early Saturday morning, both Baghdad time.

Yep special forces have been there for quite a while.
And the air war has never really stopped (no fly zone enforcement).  So ground and air actions are already in progress.

There's no way there will be a declaration of war because Congress already authorized this action and Presidents don't like to declare war because it changes our government in ways that would be unpopular.

So I assume banana is wondering when ground forces will cross the border.

I think there will be at least 72 hours air prep, probably more.
And Bush just gave Saddam 48 hours.  So 5 days bare minimum.

If ground forces cross the border before next Monday I'll eat my hat.
