When the war starts, are you going to continue to allow people to openly root for the enemies of the US?  I'm not talking about people who simply don't like the USA, or don't agree with US government policies.  I'm talking about people openly expressing support for terrorists and Iraqi armed forces killing US armed forces.

Surprisingly enough, I tend to be a rabid patriot at times like this.

OTOH, who exactly has been rooting for the other side Funked?

In a time of war that goes way beyond "political views".

No, no... I agree with Animal, don't censor their political views.

As a matter of fact, start a new thread pointing out the post, the handle, IP address, and/or ISP name.

I'll happily accomodate their political views if I am located near them.

I think what funked is getting around to is that on AGW, a certain member actually said he hoped US troops would die in the possible war to come...sad, very sad.

Hang, I too had pigs blood dumped on me while on leave and in uniform in '70. The reason I was targeted, IMO, was because of the media access to the war and the free distribution of the images and text from the reporters. We won't see the kind of free flow of information like that in any war these days. Sadly, we can't say the same about disinformation, IMO. There has been a lesson learned.

It was easy for the protesters then to latch onto some very negative images and stories from Nam and turn it into a point of debate against the war, unfortunatly for me, I represented the government and was a target of opportunity.

That hasn't blinded me to the fact that this country was born out of public protest, whether you agree or disagree with what they say should make no difference to the soldier in uniform or a vet in jeans...it's their right, we fought for it, others gave the ultimate.

To threaten to act with violence on these people over and above the threat given is not only uncalled for but if acted out, criminal.

Seriously, if you have this kind of anger built up over something that happened 30 years ago then a visit to your local VA hospital and enroling into one of theirtherapy grtoups may help...did me and I still go every 2 months or so.,

I'll never understand why they took it out on the soldier during nam. Hate what the government is doing so hurt your brother cause he happens to be doing the right thing by serving his country. You change things by voting, and i'll bet have those protesters weren't even registered to vote.

I still hear people complain cause the vets get put on the top of hiring lists for the fire, police, etc. depts. It's the least we can do for them.
