in aces high and anygame i play it has like an echo to the guns and doors opening. kinda like reverb on a guitar amp. Any help?

Check your sound board utilities (mixer )
It's like you have an environnemental audio preset loaded.
What kind of sound board is it ?

Go to start menu, creative, soundblaster audigy, AudioHQ then under audio effects on the right box chose no effects.

had that problem show up after installing dx9. turns out my card went back to it's default driver (that p.o.c. that comes with windows).
