I just saw that yesterday, but it was completely unrealistic so I didn't buy it.

Instead went for the F4U-D which had the same markings as the one in AH.

Moose, what Corsair?  These are 1/18th scale toys from Universal Soldier, actually 21st century Toys Extreme detail.  There is only the 109 and a Mustang.  What Corsair?

I wanted to buy the 109 a couple of weeks ago but had half the money so I couldn't make the purchase. I went today and walla almost thought they ran out of them also in the same place I saw the Panther tank, inmense toy, couldn't think a 5 year old playing with it, if you saw how big it was you would drool all over the place and would have to call clean up. They had the Sherman tank but it is so puny I didn't even think of buying besides the Panther is so friggin' big it's at 45 bucks. The 109 is less expensive I believe it is a 109G6 with gondies extremely detailed IMO . I knew that once I assembled the plane I would be playing all over the place with the kite and now I'm ashamed really ashamed . I would of bought the P51s but since they're expensive and the thought of putting some explosives on it is too tempting so I rather not buy it.

Glasses, first of all you can get a slightly better picture out of your webcam if you have a lightsource in front of the camera (ie: above the 109 model) but have the bulb out of the immediate view of the webcam's "eye".

Also, that looks to me like a 109E. I went to amazon.com to see images of the plane and it has supports under the horizontal stabs which the 109E was the last model to have. The 109F has rounded wingtips (does that have squared off wingtips?) and every version after the 109F has rounded wingtips.

I noticed a slight inaccuracy on the P51 model at amazon.com.. the landing gear is backwards. It has the wheels facing outward, but they were placed inward and retracted towards the center of the wings.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the 109 model at Toys 'R Us and what kind of assembly is required? Does it require gluing or is it just snap together. I'd imagine snap-together since it's intended for a 5(!) year old.

Inspiring America's youth at a young age to like german weaponry.. I think we'll see a surge in Luftweenies in about 10-12 years!

It has rounded off wingtips ,the price is 33.99 at the Toys R Us store. As to the assembly the wings come in the package behind the fuselage held in by some twist cables you just take them apart from the stand put it into the fuselage it comes with a small screw, you screw in in the middle then snap on the DT boom 109 . A friend of mine who bought it first broke the hand off the pilot so you have to be very gentle while moving the head or any of the articulations of the figure to get it into the cockpit again be very vareful or you'll have a handicapped pilot.

Toys R us is selling these products as a whole WWII series??  Thats awesome.. hopefully this will teach young ones a little bit about WWII (equipment anyways) and possibly spark more interest and keeping the history alive.  Kudos to whoever came up with these toys!
