... those people miss a part of the game.

HTC offers us so many alternative to the way we can play AH, that I can't see why people can get borred and quit.

You can find a place to furball.
You can find a less populated fight.
You can fly bomber.
You can try to sneack troops.
You can fly solo/vulcher.
You can fly as a Squad and try to survive.
You can dive bomb.
You can torpedo boats.
You can blitz bomb in Jet.
You can grab a tank if u tired of flying.
You can Pt boat, command the fleet.
You can man the guns to defend the fleet.
You can plan missions on various objectives.
You can use your head to defeat an adversary.
You can use the weather at ur advantage.
You can use the night.
you can ... so much thing that getting borred means that you stick to one aspect of the game only when HTC propose a whole range of activities.

Thus, it's not HTC's fault if you got borred.

As someone who is experiencing burn-out, let me play the devils advocate for a moment if you would...

You can find a place to furball.
Yes, very true
You can find a less populated fight.
Yes, very true
You can fly bomber.
Then you get flamed for having lazer guns after you shoot someone down
You can try to sneack troops.
Goon hunters prevail in a known location, AWACS does not help
You can fly solo/vulcher.
One must fly very high and very fast to lone wolf in AH, which narrows you down to only a few A/C choices
You can fly as a Squad and try to survive.
Only reason I am still online in these sims is the squadrons
You can dive bomb.
See squads above
You can torpedo boats.
They can easily be killed by small burst of small caliber weapons.  Waste of time due to the fact they are too far from anything to do any damage.
You can blitz bomb in Jet.
Bomb load out is so small, and rebuild time is so minuscule (15 min) its hardly worth risking the 70 points over.
You can grab a tank if u tired of flying.
*IF* you can find a tank fight, if you attack an airfield, Tiffies and Chogs have no problem killing you after your 20 min. tank ride
You can Pt boat, command the fleet.
Fun for awhile, gets boring real fast
You can man the guns to defend the fleet.
When the action is close to the fleet...doesn't happen often enough
You can plan missions on various objectives.
Still the one of the best features in any online sim
You can use your head to defeat an adversary.

Fortunatly, there is a wide range of things to do compared to other sims, that's why alot of folks stick around.

Thus, it's not HTC's fault if you got bored.
It is in the sense of gameplay issues that the community on this board has aired opinions on, such as AWACS radar.

No offense taken...however, IMO, these things would enhance gameplay:
~Create some sort of middle ground for the AWACS radar, like NO RADAR BAR FOR AIRCRAFT UNDER 500 FEET.
~Add more ground vehicles.
~Add extended spawn points for PT Boats
~Add more variety of maps.
~Add rivers that are navigatible for the PT Boats
~Add a Historic arena of some sort
~Allow more user created maps in the Snap shots, Check Six events (currently, to date, only large scale scenarios are using them)
~Allow STRAT map to be viewed from the Tower
Many others, but these are just a few that I can think of off the top of my burned out head.

I have to say I've been getting bored with AH myself.

I do all the things above but still looking for something different.

I don't think there is anything wrong with AH  I think it's more of spring is here and I'm looking forward to getting outside more.

I go through this every year and it only last a few months then I'm back to flying all the time.

Yep, agree 100% ! Although last year this time, I spent quite a bit of time online..there was alot happening in AH then.  There is now too, just not released yet!  

These HTC folks need to have a life too, I'm glad that the releases aren't as often, one can get burned out doing that, and I love their work...don't want them to go thru the burn out that we experience!

Just back form a holyday week, It was really fun last nite, even tho I flew solo for 2 hrs.

A week break can do wonders with burnout issues. Altho I have to admit that I was reaching the boring point 7 days ago.....yes, you guessed, the things bate to death on these threads. But on this particular case, and bearing in mind that they are on the table, and are pretty obvious. It's in Htc's hand to evaluate them and, eventually, fix them if they think there is need to do so. The ball is on Htc's court from some time ago.

On our side, the only relief I can see to burnout is break time.

It worked for me, so far.

Actually, my lastest attempt at not being bored in AH has been trying to fly a TBM as a fighter.

This has never appealed to me.  The airfield capture game in AW/AH has always seemed too *gamey*, and is hard for me to enjoy.

Rip, I don't agree with your POV about the arrado.

The arrado had a great use in joint ops. Plan ahead a bit, and use one to blast radars of the 3 closest bases, or the "2 fuel tanks" next to each other to limit max fuel from the nearby bases of your targetted one.

It's also an excellent magnet to attract enemy fighters away from an incoming "real strike group".

Vulching doesn't mean to fly a fast plane high either. I experimented the LA7 in furballs. I never went higher than 15K, always find a lower/slower poor guy flying level, or turnfighting. You B&Z him till an another bad guy comes in range, then u run away. It's a no brainer.
Even if the incoming bad guy as more E, you start to turnfight with him and went you are CO-E, u run away   I love the Runaway option from the Pony/D9/La7 series. Gives me a welcome break from the P47
