Well, I really think, in general, the WW2 aircraft are split up by speed, guns, and production dates. That's not the problem the problem is the fringe stuff............
Tap! Tap! Tap! Can ya hear me now?
The CT is the answer. Planes are controlled by speed, guns, and production times. It is Axis vs Allies.
Although a long time WBs player and very new here, even I figured this out in less that 2 weeks

Wanna rumble? Go MA!!! Want a gentlemens Knife fight Quasi-Historically based, go CT. Yup ya can't always get your favorite ride there but flying other planes tends to broaden you ability base.
Sadly, I look at the numbers and the time I have available to fly before I go into the CT. If the pilots that have responed to lazs2's multiple posts on this same subject went to the CT, the CT would have more than 100 players in it regularly. Isn't the CT a big enough area for the Early war planes?? Ya need more? Now run a carefully controlled RPS in there with the fringe planes eliminated or minimal usage and ya got it.

PS: Match Horse Power and Gun Power and it just naturally matches the planes Historically. I like that
