Well we can't help the fact that you are a love muffin and proud of it can we?

is that the best you can do?  lol
let's see.. who was it that bood the US Anthem?  retards

You have more opposition to the war in the US than you see in Canada.

you obviously missed the point.

I'm speaking to the fact that people blame the American public for what the American government does.

Quote
Well they might have if the majority of the players on the US team were not Canadian also.

gee.. I wonder why all the Candians move to America and play for American teams.. hell they're even becoming American citizens now...

The policies of our president don't regard world opinion as important. Why should you?

heh.. even American opinion is ignored

Booing a national hymn or a flag is not a nice thing to do.

I ask myself what will happen in the future with US crowd and France's "marsillaise", what do you guess?

Usually the US crowd is respectful for others symbols, but I ask myself: what will happens with France's ones?.

it'll be interesting to find out.

I don't know but it seems that most French citizens agree with the French government...

that makes a difference IMO

If I were a hockey player I would become a US citizen as well. Our income taxes are about twice as high as the US.

You can blame whoever you want but the fact remains that the average Canadian citizen supports the US. The liberals have always had a large streak of Jacques Chirac syndrome in them.

There are Canadian business leaders taking out ads in the Newspaper lamb basting the government for their stand in the past week.

Oh and it is easy to be a drunken hick and lout. Nothing to be proud of there son. Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.

You know that was the greatest hockey game I ever watched bar none. It almost redeemed the Olympics in my mind after all the judging scandels. It showed a team can win on guts and determination despite biased and one sided refereeing.

BTW that ref should have been banned from any international matches forever.

LOL good point Pongo :)

see you guys up North know all about the inter-country rivalry... to us Americans it seems strange to have 2 national languages (although if some people had their way America would add Itallian to it's native language(s))

"what losers
yep.,.. Canada's next"

Yeah and two days after those American pilots murdered four Canadian ground troops in Afganistan the fan in Detroit boo'ed the Canada Anthem on two separated occassions.

I hear the pilots are going to get off as well, it's the American way.

I assume you think they did it on purpose?

It's an unfortunate thing about war.. accidents happen, it's a dangerous business.

Montreal fans boo Star-Spangled Banner

MONTREAL (AP) -- Fans booed during the playing of the U.S. national anthem before the New York Islanders' 6-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night.

The sellout crowd of 21,273 at Bell Centre was asked to "show your support and respect for two great nations" before the singing of the American and Canadian national anthems.

But a significant portion of the crowd booed throughout Star-Spangled Banner in an apparent display of their displeasure with the U.S.-led war against Iraq. More than 200,000 people turned out for an anti-war demonstration in Montreal last Saturday.

"I'm sure there are a lot of people against the war, but some things people can't control," said New York's Alexei Yashin, who is from Russia. "They were probably showing what they feel about it."

Teammate Mark Parrish, a native of Bloomington, Minn., was upset hearing the boos.

"I came to the game pretty pumped up, but once I heard that it really got me going," Parrish said. "So I guess I can thank them a little bit for getting me more pumped up."
