Exercise question
« on: March 22, 2003, 02:16:30 PM »
I'm a runner, but I am frequently inured.  So, I decided to start weight training to help me.  Due to time constraints, I can dedicate about 2 hours to exercise, but it has to be all at the same time.  This leaves me fatigued for my run.  My question is- What can I eat or drink that will reduce my fatigue yet not give me stomach cramps during my run?

dave , your weight training and running should be on alternate days , never on same day, no wonder you get hurt,
you can get energy gels that are EZ to eat and digest wile on a run or a bike ride.
i ride a bicycle because my old knees won't take the pounding of running, ( bicycle is very EZ on knees if you use the right gearing)

also , don't forget to warmup and stretch before you run
