I've also been flying the F6F this tour Kieran, and have had a lot of success with it. Especially against N1K2s. I've shot down 3 of 'em and haven't been shot down once by 'em. (5 kills of 'em in total, 0 deaths)

The people complaining about them do it just because it kills them.

Hey guys I got news for you: It isn't the plane, it's the guy flying it. Case in point, Drex has 12 kills of N1K2s vs 2 deaths- all of them in the P47D-30.

Heh, it looks like you caught a bad case of 'chiponshoulderitis (LW)'. You know, that feeling that the whole game is geared against your beloved LW nags and that all the other planes are 'uber'.  

I'd get it looked at, but I must warn you, I haven't seen anybody cured from it yet.

I flew a niki last night just to see how *great* this UFO really is.  I dove into a furball strictly for some fun.. I knew I was going to bite it sooner or later.  A lonely Knit was being chased by 5 or 6 Bish when I entered.  I simply sprayed into the furball and came out with 2 kills without even trying!  One or two cannon hits took care of a wing of a P51 while a Spit erupted into flames.  I after that I quickly pulled out, engaged another Niki while another Spit tried to HO me in the process.  I payed no attention to the Spit (he had a horrible angle coming at me from my 10 o'clk) I let off a few rounds towards the Niki and somehow the Spit erupted into flames from collateral damage =]  I was eventually shot down by a horde of 10 Bish on the deck =]  The niki is out of control i say.

Nash, can you please make a chart for this Niki crap like you did for the new version whiners? I'd never find the link, but it was just hilarious, and its so fitting.

The only end to this whining tardstorm would be have these big mouths against the Niki actually ENTER EXILES LADDER...then have a say Niki vs. Spit battle. Lots of them in fact, with the Niki Witchhunt whiners that actually flys them NEVER every tour, in the Niki. Everyone else in a Spit (which I think is the most complete and uber plane in the set.)

Ya have to admit, they claim their FM knowhow of the George every chance. (Must be alot of HTH and offline trials...ya right.)

OK, put up or shut up. Get the top Spit boys in the Ladder, and have the Tac's and R4mests of the BBS in the Niki have them PROVE  it UFO dominate. I can only assume all their knowledge of the flight model has them well versed in it, so all is fair.

We can even have tower-tards like Gordo moderate and it will be a full event!

Oh just sum it up- F4U-C is has a F-18 .20 rotating gattlin cannon in it and you have to either learn to fly it and be shameless about pilot rank, or MORE important ...as a defender, AVOID it.
My only complaint is tonight I was in a Buff, and I was attacked by a F4U-C from my 6.                   I saw it coming from 4K, and was all over it, the AI adding to my 6 fire power.
He did nothing, as a non-evasive 6 attack, and I poured it all into him.
As soon as he fired toejam flew off the 17 like paper. I survived but man, just like one of 1000 F4U-C   encounters, the F4U-C seeemed gattling-gun equipped.

They suck, update it, quick. They a bit annoying.

   

Hows it feel to have your fav. AC on the BBQ pit?
