about the war, the world and stuff
« on: March 22, 2003, 06:21:57 PM »
Hello everyone from everywhere.

I have noticed that there has been alot of tention on this board about the war in Iraq and it has driven folks apart that used to enyoy eachother in the game. :(

I just hope that we can all get along and respect the opinon of everyone regardless of nationality and belife. We all have one thing in common... We enjoy the AH game and can for  some exciting hours every month enjoy the teamwork and excitement we all share. (and of cours abit of frustration:D )

I have stated my opinion about the war and i have been flamed for it, respected for it and i have also had some interesting disc. about the situtation.

If this small community cant find a way to coexist, what hope is there realy in the long run?

So..

Can't we just have fun and enjoy the game?

I try (not always successfully) to separate people from their posts, and avoid getting personal.  I think a lot of people here gave up trying to be that way, and now there are some grudges that won't go away.  :(

I make a point of not getting involved in the politcal and war threads on the board. There's really no point to it, they always degenerate into a flame war.

it's more fun to just sit and watch :D

Do peaople really start to actually hate others on this BBS?  I just attack people for what they say or the extent they support or imply certain BS ideas. I dont hate them at all - the second their tune changes I have no reason to attack.

though i tend to light up and vent some real high temp flames on occasion in here, i DO keep a civil tounge in my head in the game.

Naso, Straffo, Hristo and others have run across me in the game.. whats transpired here does not color to any negative degree the civility we share as gamers enjoying a great game.

i'd hope we all can understand the divide between the o'club and the game.. in the o'club we can shed the 'uniform'.

channel 1 is NOT the o'club. unless the subject is tits or kurt tank and the LW. ;)

I wish that were true Hangtime.  I am seeing more and more of the O'Club creep into the game.
