Have not been able to update our squad site for a couple of weeks. My provider blames FP2000 and of course they blame my provider.

Been using Front Page 2000 for a couple of years without any problems at all, then starting a couple of weeks ago when I tried to open my site to make some changes I get:

Server error: Canot close file "/home/sites/site104/web/_vti_pvt/service.cnf

Then whenever I try to save changes to my site I get:

Server error: Write error on file "/home/sites/site104/web.roster.htm/tmp

Anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Sounds like the "permissions" changed. Check to see that you, the "owner" have read / write / execute permission on the folders:

_vti_pvt  and  web.roster.htm

and the contained files:

service.cnf  and  tmp  respectively.

If that's not it I can't help you. Never used FP2000. I'd suggest asking your 'provider' which I guess is your "webspace provider/host" to fix it or look for a new one...

Edited to add: I'm not a ( network guru ) or any other kind of guru for that matter, just had a few websites over the years... good luck. ;)
