Its one of the best handling non vectored thrust aircraft made.  Its avionics/radar are supposed to be revolutionary too.

Its down side:  The plane is only as good as those maintaining it and the system.  And... it has no stealth capabilities.  Maneuverability vs invisibility is a pretty huge comparison point these days.

i regard it as superior in ACM to the eagle.

no combat record as far as i am aware.

would be a very tough customer in the hands of competent pilots.

I understandsome NATO countrys now operate it.

with integrated NATO weapons, i suspect it would be a tremendous fighter.. but current production F-22's would tend to make it like all other last century fighters, pitifully inadequite.
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

Hang, Su-27 and MiG-29 have some combat record. They were fighting in a war between Ephiopia and Eritrea, both sides scored several victories.

Su-27 isn't in service in any NATO country. It's MiG-29. 24 MiG-29s are in service in Germany, 30 or 40 where bought by the US from Moldavia (probably the greatest Moldavian export so far ;)).
