Michael Moore gets up on stage and makes an bellybutton out of himself and gets booed heartily.  Discuss.

I saw it. I saw nothing in it worthy of an Oscar.

He did raise a good question or two but he was apparently unable to find answers that made any sense.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

I have not seen the movie (I have seen other work from him and do not care for it).  Anywho, my reference was to his actions on stage and the crowds reaction.  Shortly after the guy who won for best actor (I didn't see his movie either :) ) showed a lot more class accepting his award and simply stated that he hoped it would end soon and that peace will come to Iraq and our troops come home safe.  He received a standing ovation.

yeah its quite a change from the 1975 Oscars when the winners hailing the Communist victory over South Vietnam were cheered. :(

I was watching for just such a reaction and I guess the Hollywood bunch have enough of a sense of self preservation not to cheer for the opponents of American troops actually in the field.

The best part of it was when he told the band to stop because he was almost done. He had to work for that standing O.

I haven't seen it yet, but generally enjoy watching Michael Moore's work...even if I don't agree with a lot of what he stands for.

If he was getting boo'd at the Oscars, then he was probably doing something right.
