By the vicious replies, you are proving his point.
Blitz, we did not start this war, saddam did. Maybe you do not consider Kuwait a sovereign nation, but it is. He invaded, he raped, he tortured.I guess this is not a crime to you. Then he defied to leave. He instead waged more war. When he lost he set 700 of kuwait's oil wells on fire and dumped 800 million gallons of oil into the persian gulf. When we liberated Kuwait, he signed an agreement, one he has defied yet again.
One day U.N. inspectors made a suprise visit to a military installation. They would not let them in. The U.N. people insisted, so they let them climb a water tower to look around but would not let them look anywhere else. One inspector from the top of the tower noticed trucks exiting the rear of the compound. They jumped in their vehicles and gave chase. The trucks would not pull over, but the inspector managed to get some pictures.
In the pictures it was clear to see that on the trucks there were tanks used to enrich uranium.
Listen, the countries around saddam are scared to death of him. They know what he is capable of, and if they didn't want him overthrown, we wouldn't be there. If we were to take our troops and leave, they would be at saddam's mercy. And ask the people of Kuwait and they'll tell you, he has no mercy.
This isn't a war against a sovereign country, it's a war against a criminal.
Listen, we have sleeper cells here that have proven they will kill thousands if given the means to do so. I think if saddam has a chance to give them the means to do so, he will. I'm sorry if you disagree with with our president's decision, but I agree with him, saddam must go.
