Once again... it was another typical half bellybutton mandate vie the UN. They allowed a defeated Dictator to retreat w/his core forces largely intact. These where the forces used to put down that rebellion. Heck... at that time I dont think we were even allowed to establish the so called "no-fly" zone. That came latter I'm thinking.

do you really think ANY city in Iraq should be considered "safe"? What have then done, killed or captured every 13 to 80 year old Iraq male? And this was just a little town, imagine the bigger cities ... they are full of Iraq rats..

I said "safe", with speech marks, because they mean safe in military terms. You wouldn't want to take a stroll through there, but it's safe to bring supply elements through.
