NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--U.S. defense officials say they have seen multiple
intelligence reports that some Iraqi troops, dressed as U.S. soldiers, are
accepting the surrender of other Iraqi forces in the southern city of Basra and
then executing them, Fox News reported Tuesday.
The officials said the executions were being carried out by either Special
Republican Guards or the Fedayeen Saddam forces, Fox News reported. Both groups
are regarded as extremely local to President Saddam Hussein.
