Heh, the funny thing is I come from a part of England that has a lot in common with Texas.

Strong identity, considered a little backward by the supposed sophisticates of the South in the case of England, or the North in the case of the States. Yorkshire is sat on a huge coalfield, instead of oil though. Which is a shame.

You know Sean Bean? I was born in the same city as him - Sheffield. He's lost a lot of his accent now, but there are hints of it still. Unfortunately, he supports Sheffield United, and I support Sheffield Wednesday. Those are soccer teams, by the way.
I think my Aces High squaddies have gotten used to it, although I tend to speak with a more non-descript accent when online.
I've always liked the Southern accent. I can identify with it I guess...
...maybe not understand it, but definitely identify with it.
