I only have two USB connects but I need a third one. I have a USB throttle, peds and stick. I had my stick with a game port but my new windows XP wont recognize it. Where can I get an adapter for thre USB connects?

Go buy an expansion card that has USB ports on it, or you can buy a hub with USB ports on it.

I have used both:

HUB, Hubs seem to have problems holding more than 1 controller.  Meaning if you plug two or more controllers in at some non-specific time you will lose one.  This requires unplugging and re-plugging in the lost controller.  Irritating!

Expansion card, No problems.  Seemed the best choice.  It does take a PCI slot.  If you have a spare go with it!

Had the same prob. Bought a PCI card with 4 USB slots on it. Never had a problem with it. Was about 25$ I think... Your mileage may vary.

Yep have a USB 2.0 pci card in my computer.  4 ports for 35 bucks at best buy about a year ago.  I'm sure you can find them cheaper now.

Using winXP, I didn't even have to install drivers for the card.  Very nice.

You can buy expansion PCI based USB ports or you can use a USB hub.

Either way is a viable solution but if you decided to go the USB hub route, you have to make sure it's a powered USB hub (has its own power source) to make sure that your USB devices get the necessary voltage to run properly.

I've used a hub for 6 months and have never had any problems with every port filled.

If nobody has noticed, this is the way things are going. Gameports are already being elimated by PC manufacturers.  If you're on a gameport consider changing to USB.

You can also buy one of those analog to USB adaptors like the Rockfire USB Gameport Adaptor.  Performance is the same as using a USB stick.
