What i like about Americans
« on: March 29, 2003, 05:35:38 AM »
They love their country like a child loves its mother.

They are idealists.

All Americans i met personally here in Europe  were nice and friendly.

They have a sense of humour.

I like their accent

:)

Regards Blitz

Was never in the States because of time or money.

Hope i will visit it some day. Can't wait to get my boots on and run through yellowstone national park, San Franzisco and Lost Angeles.

The girl i live with for 20 years now was there a few years ago.
She did 2000 kilometers with her bicycle and liked it :)

Blitz,

I was in France and Germany two years ago, I found the French arrogant and stuffy very in love with things not American. The Germans on the other hand were just the opposite, very warm and a lot of fun to be around.

If you get to the US please let me know, I live in Florida and would love to return the hospitality and friendship shown to me when I was in your country.

It looks as I wont be traveling to Europe anytime soon, you see I’m rather found of staying alive and we don't look to welcome over there.

Scott

I am from California so... I have no accent.

If you get out to California.... look me up..

A Capitalist outlook would help here, so I can see why there's a problem. ;)

Blitz - 2 Yanks coming to the con next month. When you get to Yellowstone, be sure also to check out the Grand Tetons 100 miles to the south.

Hehe - Alaska and Man-hi. Yes, they were kind enough to give me a ride back to Amsterdam after the con. I think one of them was working for the US Gov. in Europe somewhere? Damned nice car they had - Merc C260. After we got to Amsterdam, we parked the car, got those guys checked into a hotel, had a bite to eat, and then I took them on a tour of the red light district. :)

Actually I thought the accents in LA extremely difficult to understand at times, unlike Washington which I found easy.

Mind you everyone had alot of trouble with mine...aparently Aussies talk to fast, and use too much slang.

My true colours? Ostfriesland, a little piece of Germany next to the Netherland border at the north sea. I love it :)
