Downloaded the game yesterday and cannot use offline mode. Online mode seems to work fine. When I click on the offline button the clipboard flashes and thats it. Would like to get this working, any tips would be appreciated.

How long are you waiting to see something happen?
How long does the clipboard flash?
Does the computer lock up?
What about the H2H mode?

Strange that it works online and not offline!

Just for the fun of it, look to see if you have a curterr.cfg file in your C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High\settings folder.
What name is in it?
Do you have a matching name in your C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High\terrains folder?

Ummmm.....You didn't say if the curterr.cfg should be in both places or not?

Example:  I have this file in my settings foldder yet not in the terrain folder.  Aces High works great for me so am I to assume that the curterr.cfg should not be in the terrain folder?

Sorry, my fault, I didn't explain properly.  You are correct that the curterr.cfg is only in your settings folder.
The C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High\terrains folder is where your terrains are located ( the xxxxx.res files ).
The curterr.cfg file would have the name of one of those terrains ( minus the .res extension ) listed when you open it with notepad.

If you deleted the curterr.cfg file or deleted the terrain name that is listed in the curterr.cfg file from the C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High\terrains folder the game would still start in offline mode but will load the default terrain mindnao.res.
If this terrain is not there then it won't goto offline at all ( just tested it )

Pokie:

Thank you for the reply. The problem was as you stated, the curterr.cfg file was missing from the settings folder. I created a text file with that name and entered the names in the terrain folder and offline mode works.

What I don't understand is why the config file was not in the settings folder, I know I did not delete it as I just downloaded the game this weekend.

Glad you got it working.

Maybe there's a problem with the Full download file or maybe it didn't completely download properly.

Most people here are getting the updated patches which would be why they haven't had the problem.

You are the first that I know of.
