Das Fliegende Leichter?

Anyone else noticed the 110g2's propensity to catch fire?  To the point that my last 5 deaths in a row were from catching fire and losing a wing.  

Any particular reason why the 110 would be any more vulnerable to catching fire than any other plane?

Yep i noticed the same although i never could say if its right or not.
Maybe it has something to do with the fuel tanks?

Don't fly it that much or that often, but I have gone down in flames...

And set a few on fire.  

Though usually hits to the tail is enough to drop one, hits near the engines or wing roots seem to cause these fires..

I'll stick my finger into the pie too here. Yep, the LAST time I flew a 110G2 it caught fire and lost a wing.

Last time I shot down a G2, it caught on fire as well.

Yep, even two times in a row while getting hits from panzers mgs. In my case, 9 out of 10 times my 110G2 is destroyed by fire.

Fuel was provided in four tanks, located in the inner wings either side of the main spar. The forward tanks each held 373 litres (82 Imperial gallons), while the rear tanks each held 264 litres (58 Imperial gallons)... :rolleyes:

I thought the same about the 110g2 but i have since read an article in one of my books that mentioned it did have a tendancy to catch fire so i just decided to ignore what I had felt was a little too common an occourance of fire on the 110s.

whether AH has it correct is debatable obviously but I cant be bothered trying to sort it. You'll just get called a whiner for it.It catches fire an awfull lot but like i said i have read a mention of it and so i'll conceed it as acceptable.
