I would like to see an AH player database where all players could submit personal information.
* Ideally the database would list all players (who wish to participate) by game ID, in alphanumeric order.
* In the table display, viewers could also click on other column headings (such as BB ID), which would also re-list in alphanumeric order.
* Other column headings in the table/database could be: Player ID, BB ID, Home Country, Home State/Province, Year/Month began AH, Age, Occupation, etc.
* Player ID would be a hyperlink to a minimal web page where players could post an autobiography, one picture, hyperlinks to homepages, email, etc.
* Players concerned with privacy could omit/submit as much information as they wish.
* Perhaps, a player Q & A forum could be created for viewers to respond to players’ info, such as: (Subject) FlyGuy: (Message) Hey, I’m a paleontologist too! What species in particular is your focus? (Bla-bla-bla, etc.)
* HTC, please note that the biggest BB thread ever {Who are you? (pics)}, and one of the biggest (Who are you?), partially addressed this need/interest. Even so, these threads were clumsy and difficult to search through. I think that such a database would help promote Internet etiquette, both in the game and the BB, by humanizing players. You’re less likely to flame a guy if you’ve seen a picture of him with his family, or if you know that he’s fighting cancer, or know that he’s only 13, etc.
Does anyone out there know of such a data base template to recommend to HTC? If so, please do.
