Went out to Lake Austin today with my fishing buddy

Was a really pretty day, a bit on the chilly side at first but a good day for fishing. The only problem is that it was really slow. I only caught one fish in about 4 hours. But what a fish it was. Broke my record

22.5" 6.5 lb. large mouth bass
Was a wierd catch. I was using a plastic worm and chunked it up by the bank. As soon as I pulled on it the first time it felt like I had hooked on to a branch or something. I kept pulling it in thinking that I had part of a tree on my line. About 1/2 way to the boat I decided that I'd set the hook just to "be sure". Good thing I did! As soon as I set the hook it started pulling drag out of my reel. My buddy saw my pole bend in half and the look on my face and scrambled for the net. Best part is that he caught a nice 19.5" 3 lb fish before I had this one in the live well.
Now for the bad news Elfie

She's in my freezer waiting to be consumed on Tuesday night!
