Well, if you speak of the demo it's a known fact that it's beend hacked bad time. Pterodon (or whatever they called... ) know that and stated they won't release another patch to fix it. They held their cards back for the full version.

Yesterday I played it for about 1 hour online. No sign of walking trees, flying G.I.s or any other form of cheating. There are some great MP maps like the one that reminds me off Hamburger Hill.

IMO VC is one of the least arcadish shooters out there. Join a server with VIETCONG settings, notice the icon (VC flag) by the server name --> no crosshair (you have to aim like in RL), no HUD (e.g. no health bar, no ammo count, no nothing). Especially the "Real War" type of game is aimed towards teamplay. If you don't work together you gonna loose rather quickly.

MP is a bit biased towards US... the M16 just has no match in the VC arsenal... but hey, I like to wear green pyjamas and a bamboo hat!

I admit I've played only the demo so far..

If I was a game dev, I'd never release demo's like that because I'm not going to buy the game based on what I saw in the demo. It had a 100% negative effect.

The moves on the characters were arcadish (movements happen way too fast, it makes the feel arcadish to boot.) The terrain was full of bugs where you got stuck to, net code was horrible with 2 second lags here and there..

I could have lived with the other errors, but the laggy net code and cheaters really repelled me from the whole game.

It was even worse disaster than BF1942 demo - another game I'm not going to touch EVER after playing the demo.

Oh and /edit/ it's funny that M16 has no match in the VC arsenal as in real life AK47 owned M16 big time.. It's accurate, packs a bigger punch and you can jump on it in a mud pool and it still works like a charm with no cleaning.

MAZZ  ...... i bought the game last night and installed it set up a server from like 7:15 till almost 8pm .........no one jioned but i didnt use the demo version does that matter?
Im not sure if you use the Bought game version the demo players have access to the game or not?

Compared to other games released at the sametime. ie: Raven Shield. This game is silly in multiplayer. The VC look like they are running around with diapers that need changing.

Im not sure if you use the Bought game version the demo players have access to the game or not?

I looked at about 7:30-7:45 for any server that had "Aces High" in it as mentioned above - didnt see any.

If you start a game with the Demo, only Demo users can join.  If you start the game with the retail, only retail users can join.

Other than that, Ive never hosted a game, so I dont know much about how the VC setup works.
