A new AH pilot is born.....
« on: September 12, 2000, 02:42:00 AM »
Yup, and that would be me, joness  . Hi guys, i just wanted to say that i tried the new AH version a few days ago and loved it! The new planes, the vehicles, everything! I even bought a subscription to AH. I know i've badmouthed AH before, but thats probably because i couldnt get it to work with my 3d card  . So forgive me. But im all ready now, got my stick working, and am looking forward to 'meeting' some of you guys. Ok...now....who wants to be my first victim??

Easymo not everyone flew in the ACA, some of us only flew there when we ran out of regular time.  I remember Joness from the Main Arena 3 years ago.  2 in WB and now 1 in AH.

Easymo... <S>

I also remember joness from the ACA and I believe also the RR.

Anyway, that aside, "joness" is probably one of the best young pilots I've ever encountered in the "full realism" only WWII arena.  In his P51D the other day, he single handed took on a group of us flying 190D's, (remember vadr?) who jumped him with an alt advantage.  His evasives and ACM under those circumstances was awesome and although we eventually bagged him, it was only luck on our part that prevented him from escaping.  I even <S> on Channel 100 for that engagement, as it was one of the first I personally had with him.  I wouldn't want to run into him 1vs1 too often.

I understand he's a young guy with a passionate vocal personality at times, but we all have that, even us "old" guys.

joness....welcome, I think you'll like this group and the game itself, once you get used to the differences.  It took me about 5 weeks of flying and dying to really get comfortable.

Remember what many people forget on here.  They are both only games, not real life.

Regards,
Badger

Joness,

You'll be happy to know that no Ki-84 has been modelled yet. You are safe until then.

Thanks for the greetings, guys   Badger and Vadr, thanks for the compliments, i've been practicing the pony for a long time   And yes, badger, i am young and do have a VERY vocal personality   We young'uns are always the best and always right so therefore if we get shot down, miss a shot, etc., something must be porked or the cons must be warping   Anyway, if you hear me blabbering all the time on ch1 just ignore it, it probably doesnt make sense anyway

well, time to go fly!!

I remember flying an SL in WB's, Joness was the FL. I got on RW with him and was surprised at how young he was. He did a great job as an FL, even after we were bounced by high K161's.

Welcome Aboard.

Looking forward to seeing you in the arena.
