German GI's(paratroops) not American. Looks like a MG42 over the shoulder of the nearest and they all have camo suits.

German SS mountain troops. At most that is an mg 34. I would say it might be a madsen or a bren type.

Waffen SS Gibergsjager, it is:)

Also: The MG is a vz.30 (MG30t), The Czech vz.26/30 was one of  the most suxcessfull and influnential light MGs of it's time, it was the bases for the Bren (which was basicaly a coppy of it), this weapon was used all over the world and produced in China for her forces, the weapon was extreamly robust and reliable and was contintued in production for German forces. SS units are often seen with it as a squad support weapon, as indicated in the above pick.

The Bren is a Coppy of the Cezh gun, but ya at a distance they do look close.
