GRUNHERZ: and notice the articles praising Al Jazerra

Praising Al-Jazeera? You sir, are blatantly lying - no doubt hoping that your audience is too lazy and dumb to check for themselves!

That article is not about Al-Jazeera at all. The quote below is all that is mentioned about it.

Quote
The glory of war is all moonshine. It is pure hell. That's why the American networks censor, without even being told, the ugly images of war. That was the case when they decided not to air the pictures of dead Americans that Iraqi television made available and that were broadcast globally by Al-Jazeera , the independent Arab television network.

Those ugly pictures of young Americans, their faces mutilated by bullets and shrapnel, are the true face of war. That's what war is: death, mutilation and destruction. Why hide from Americans what they wanted? The polls say 70 percent or more support war. Well, you should be willing to look at what you support — all of it, not just a censored, prettified version of it.

you have GOT to read some of the other crud the author Michael Peirce has written.
It is called Vive le France
he ACTUALLY attempts to make the French look Bad bellybutton and Cool, and puts the blame for all of our WWII deaths on the Brits.
mpeirce@mindspring.com in case you want to say hello to him.

Anyway, I posed that article for people who actually read, not for people who wish to discuss merits of the other articles they have not read and have no intention to.

Well you can tell this guy has some issues:

"God willing, we’ll get you folks home someday soon where you can do something about really defending our freedoms. A couple armored divisions could do some useful work on our southern border. Try to imagine freedom without territorial integrity and then ask yourself why we’d attack Iraq and yet not defend our own country. Just don’t ask me – it defies logic"

Guess that is how they tried to do things in Rodesia.

What really pisses off about these self annointed "teachers and healers of thy civilization", is that they seem to think that no one in the world besides themselves, has any clue as to what goes on in reality and that they are serving the most noble of purposes by informing us of how stupid we all are.

hmmm, balanced coverage would require that Saddam's tame media show the bloodied and brutalized bodies of the victims of that soon-to-be ended gang of cuthroats and outlaws.  It sure would be too bad if the people these guys have been oppressing all these decades get a hold of them before they manage to reach the protection of coalition troops

And you personally reply by assigning labels rather than examining and refuting the arguments. How enlightening.

You have to admit - many people are idiots. Whenever I post anything about my concern of US matters - liberties, economy, military, social trends, etc. - they suddenly attribute to me nonexisting concern for the enemy of their choice and start "arguing" a position I never even had.
Maybe that is inability to think abstractly and only understanding any argument in terms of what is before their eyes - which is quite common.

I do not care a little bit about what Saddam Hussein does to Iraqis - neved did, never claimed to. Saddam Hussein is iraqi's problem, not mine.
But the dolts turn any conversation into suffering of iraqis though none of them volunteer to join the Kurdish liberation forces of Shi'ite militia, etc. - the hyppocrites.

I do not care which despot is used by US government to extend it's powers and subvert the Constitution and how subjugated the despot's population is. If I did, I would be in that country with a rifle or a bag of rice or abunch of leaflets, whatever. I do not and neither do I lie that I care like most of you. That's the difference.

I care for our POWs - regardless what adversary captures them.
I care for our troops - regardless which country they have to pacify or defend.

Very few of my "opponents" argue about what I actually said. They just spew off-ther shelf judgements about what they would like me to say to feel better about their smarts and "patriotism".
