Are you a but man?
« on: February 21, 2001, 05:29:00 PM »
No, not a buttman. I said a "but" man.

What I'm talking about is this: when HTC announces a new plane or vehicle or feature, do you say "Wow! That's great, thanks!"  or do you say "Wow, that's great, but..."

Seems to me that we're all so used to whining about things, that we can't just say "thanks" and leave it at that. When the Ta-152 and the Tempest come out, are we gonna say "Thanks", or are we gonna all be "but" men?

Think about it. When you finish a project, would you like to always hear from a "but" man?

More of a "what?" man myself.. as in "what plane is that?".

I'm not a WW2 efficienado and haven't heard of any of the new planes being released.  I guess that makes it just a tad bit more interesting.. if I ever get to fly any of them.

More of a "So?" or cool man here.

I already have the plane I need any other addition is a new interesting target or maybe some interesting fighter for a few sorties.

Thanks HT for the P-38L
If you dont want to you dont have to work on any other plane, concentrate on the eye candy and stuff.

I doubt anyone will admit to being a "but" person.

And if they do it will go something like "I am a 'but' man, BUT..." ;-)

HTC has/is/and always will do a great job, despite the naysayers and people with a truck lodged up their butt.

I have no complaints, only compliments towards this fine company and I'm not a "blow sunshine up someone's ass" kinda person.(also known as HTC Cheer-leaders)

To me it isn't what they make and include in the game, it's as long as their doing it and doing it they way the best way the know how which they do time and time again.

I always like it when my clients wait a few days for the "buts", after I deliver a project.

I think it is good to remember that the relationship between HTC and the players is a two-way street.  We can't expect "personal" service from HTC, then treat them like a faceless corporation.  I really like the idea that my $29.95 goes to six people with names and faces, so I try to remember those names and faces when I have a problem with the game.

Makes it more fun for me.

Well, I didn't use to be... BUT   its become blatantly obvious that the loudest crowd gets the first attention.

So if we ever want anything other than more German and American planes/additions, I guess I will have to say BUT!!! and be loud about it.

I guess we are going to have to start the Coalition for the Equal Treatement Italian, Japanese and Russian Aircraft (CETIJRA).

UNITE BROTHERS and be heard !!!
