This is my favorite idiotic statement.

Kravitz argues that students from terrorist dictatorships aren't poor and may even be related to government officials.

The proposal was drafted by state Rep. Dick Kravitz, who said he doesn't like the idea that the United States is educating people who will return to regimes that oppose America.

Think of the tax dollars we'll save! The list is growing.

let me understand frog, you think "state aid" (florida taxpayer money ) should go to students from countries that hate the USA?

what about the students from florida? where should they get their aid from? what about poor black kids from tampa , they can't go to school because the school is full of foreign students who are getting florida taxpayer money?

you liberals are so stupid, your education was wasted

hahaha only 822 students recieve aid in the state of florida that are from those countrys. I would say the majority of black students at my college recieve state aid. And that number is far higher then 822. If you knew anyone from those countrys that was attending school here you would think this was as dumb as i do. They come to school here to get the hell out of the crap holes they live in, and make some cash. If you truely want to destroy terrorism the first thing you need to do is americanize the lot of them.
Plus id rather have them comming to Florida to get an education and staying here, because this  state needs more college educated people living in it.

So how exactly does attending school in America "Americanize" them?  Just because they may go to school here does not mean that they cant or wont still harbor hate toward the west or what America stands for when and if they return to their native country.

Did anyone that replied to this post ever attend college? did you know a student from the middle east? Well me experiance's with them is that they are here to get a degree and get a good job. I would like to see a study on how many actually stay here after they get their degrees. Plus most terrorists are hicks. look at good ole Timmy.

Yes to both questions. Seems I read or heard recently that most of the terrorists that destroyed the WTC towers were educated and if not affluent, at least above poverty.

This is a complete joke because Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are probably the 2 biggest state sponsors of terrorism there are and aren't on our State Dept's list due to politics. Libya also hasn't really done anything bad in a decade.

I agree, that was a really dumb statement.

However, in theory, I'd support the idea.  In reality, it wouldn't work.  Unfortunately, politics does come into play.
