This should apply only to tour of duty....
I think it would be a lot more realistic in TOD if the airfields had limited aircraft numbers. I mean, you can only fly a certain amount of planes. If you crash a plane 100 times, then the airfield runs out of planes therefore it is useless. For small airfields, you would get about 100, medium, 150, etc. It wouldn't be a certain type of any plane. Maybe you could have "aircraft points." These would go down every time you crashed any type of plane. This way, there would not be a certain amount for each variety of plane. How do you get points back? There should be "aircraft factories." These would produce planes, obviously. It works basically the same all the other factories work-they make something and a convoy comes to resupply. Everytime the convoy would come to a base, its points would be refreshed. However, a bomber could stop convoys from coming by bombing the aircraft factory or destroying the convoy. Thus, bombing factories and convoys will become more important. Most people would also be worried about noobs crashing all the planes. I think that in TOD they should have to pass a training course to be able to fly in the real arena. That way, accidents would be less common. You can agree or disagree with this idea in any way...I don't really care.
