I notice that even when numbers are real close in all 3 countries, Bish have a large percentage of pilots not in squads, at any time it is double the numbers of rooks or knits not in squads. Often time the number of non-squad bish, is more than non-squad knit/rooks combined, while maintaining even overall numbers. Is it possible that bish get most of the newbies? What other factors could possibly contribute to this alarming fact? Please feel free to look for yourselves, I have checked these figures on numerous occasions & at different times/days, always the same outcome.

Maybe the Bishops are less concerned than the Rooks and Knights about whether anyone is in a squad or not?  What does it matter?  Not everyone likes being in a squad....  OK, so I'm in two.....  :)

to me it matters-
Because id like to see the newbies evenly distributed to all 3 countries. 1 country having more than double the amount of newbies (people not in squads most often are new. not always- just MOST OFTEN) than either of the other 2 countries, could/does sway the odds of victory.
1 country might have more than there "fare share" of questions that could/should be answered by reading the manual. 100 newbies dont fight nearly as effectively as 100 seasoned players. I could go on & on & on as to why this info "matters".

I've wondered if Bishop is the default for everyone, too.  It was my default when I first joined Aces High in January or February of last year, and the default aircraft is a Bishop P-51D when I first log on.  Maybe that's part of the numbers problem.

No, Bishop is not the default - I believe it is just random.  I do know of quite a few new players who were not Bishops when they first came online, because one of the first things I had to do was tell them how to change country!  :)

I don't think that just because somebody does not appear to be in a squad necessarily means they are a newbie - quite a few players just prefer to go it alone.  I'm quite sure all three countries get their fair share of new pilots....  ;)

When I started up an account five or six months ago, I was defaulted to rooks.  This was during the time when rooks were big underdogs, so I figured that there must be some sort of newb side balancing going on.

I just want to know why you think "non-squad" means newbie?

There are quite a few who are non-squad who have been flying for a long time.  Some like the ability to change countries without having to go through 4 channels of approval, others just haven't found a squad they like.  Still more just don't fly enough to be willing to devote 1 or 2 nights a week to squad nights.

(Ok, so right now I am sorta in a squad, but it's just 2 guys I use to fly with in WB, who I've flown with twice in a month)

Didn't you take the time to read his obvious scientific data?
