Shotguns on tanks
« on: April 07, 2003, 03:40:59 PM »
I'm hoping this is some kind of lag-related problem on my part. Sunday night I was in tank town and on several occasions I encountered tanks that were shooting two, three or even four shells per shot.
Several times I noticed it happen after I'd been popping away at somebody for some time, and they did not seem to be returning fire. In other words, maybe they were firing at me, but my computer wasn't picking it up or something, and then when the information did come over, I saw it as a multi-shot round.
Other times it appeared to happen the first time they shot at me, but my SA being what it is, these guys could have been attempting to blast at me for minutes without me realizing it until I saw a salvo of four shells fly by my vehicle.
Has anyone ever had a similar experience?

I may have been on the other side of that once.  I was engaging a Panzer with a Tiger and hit him repeatedly with no apparent effect.  Perhaps that is another symptom of the same situation.
