yeah that is horrible. so is the many more case of wife with no husband, husband with no wife, kids with no mommy or daddy, and so on due to years of torture and execution by hussein regime. most people never must deal personally with reality of 'needs of many outweight needs of few'. those who not deal with this probably should not judge those who must and make decisions in such situation. at certain point benefit of doubt must be given. it must be assumed that good country will do best to avoid injury and death of the innocent. that is the best assurance that can ever be given in time of war. when judging result of actions intent does matter. it does not excuse all consequence but it does matter.
