I hadnt thought about the difference in speed/lead. Thanks HT. It was only the BnZ planes this seem to happen in (rechecked). Ill ajust aim.

Ya know, I have been noticing something about warps myself. It seems that whenever I am near a field, enemy or friendly, when an a/c spawns onto the runway, I get a major warp. I don't have to be looking at the runway either, just started seeing the ufo(TM) go from the hangar or tower to the runway and realized it was coralateing (SP) with the warps I was seeing. Anyone else?

I wonder if something in 1.04 now conflicts with some types of vid/sound cards causing shots to appear to go one way but in reality they do elsewhere on the screen.
I don't see any of these warps nor gunnery misses that some are reporting. Using a Diamond MX300 sound card, Viper V770 vid card. Daimond drivers both and Win98.

Hey HT, if you only had a nickle for every time somebody said "It feels like you changed X", you would be wealthy indeed.

Heheheh... you guys kill me.

HT, I almost instantly noticed the nose bouncing more for some reason in the 1.04 patch.

Now I suspect this is because I have less time to make a shot accurate or the lack of icons to shoot below the nose...so recoil causes more problems

but man first time I lit all 6 of the Pony's .50's up that nose went all over the place, I couldn't hit for beans even on a S&L shot solution

Infact I found I was hitting better judging where they were below the nose, unloading and blowing off tails (ala Tiff) as opposed to BnZ attacks where they didn't break.

Seen the same sorts of things Hang, lots of close in warping and planes flying through the bullet stream without a scratch.  I figured the warping was from the users D/l'ing the new version and the missed hots from bad aim.

I'll give it another couple of days before I'm conviced it's not just me though...  that warping is annoying though when you are close... it's microwarping but often a good shot is a matter of only a degree or two.

personally I havent see any difference in the gunnery. True you can't see the hit sprites and icons under the nose anymore--this took me some adjustment. My gunnery hasnt gotten any better or worse though.

as for the warps-- yup seen more of those lately. They are down right aggravating when its starting to get up close and fun.

Discoed several times int he last 3 days too.

My Opinion is the gunnery is fine, but the connections are getting a little shaky. I never had a disco (at least at HTC's server) until last version. Now in 1.04 I have had several.

Im pretty sure its not the gunnery model.  I think that the the plane your in can pull harder G's now and the enemas plane can also pull harder G's.

Remedy??

1.  Dont be so hamfisted
2.  More lead!!

I love it no more giving up every time you saw a guy on your dead 6.  The old FM was porked we just need to become good at this one!

Seriously I have noticed the bobbing a bit not sure if a sheep is in my plane?? hmmmm

Rgr that Baddawg.. the warp when close thingie is gettin frustrating indeed. When there's less than 100 bodies in the arena it seems to get much less evident. Sure seems like it's time for a HA; what with 130 or more on every night now. (HINT!)

And it sure seems to me that the 'feel' of the FM just around center stick is odd indeed. The nose bobbles.. no spiking evident in the stick calibration routines. Not complaining.. just observing. I'll get used to it.

Well, I'm finding it a lot harder to hit planes with the same shots that I used to (when I could track them under my nose with the big red beacon)  , but I haven't had any serious problems with warps, micro or otherwise.  Since 1.04 came out I've seen 1 tiny little micro-warp.  Generally my flying is done around 8pm Pac time or later with less than 100 people on, but even when I log on at the peak, including download day last Friday, I don't notice any problems.  Aside from that fact that I'm special, why is that?
