Before anyone gets all wound up about a thread being gone.

Being a moderator is almost always a no-win situation. I can accept that. But I committed a cardinal sin of being a moderator. I actually tried to explain why moderation takes place, which just makes it worse (as witnessed in the previous thread).

SO, I thought I would just go ahead and start this thread for the sole purpose of allowing everyone to jump down my throat, without fear of repercussion.

Let the burning commence.
