French's Mustard
« on: April 10, 2003, 08:12:46 AM »
The makers of French's Mustard made the following recent statement:

"We at the French's Company wish to put an end to statements that our product is manufactured in France. There is no relationship, nor has there ever been a relationship, between our mustard and the country of France. Indeed, our mustard is manufactured in Rochester, NY. The only thing we have in common is that we are both yellow".

While funny, it's an urban legend.

That's not true. English mustard is the yellow stuff you put on hot-dogs.

You might put that red-hot nasty assed stuff on your hotdogs...I'll stick with the American artifical version.

I'm English and English mustard isn't that hot. But I do like spicy food, particularly curry, so I might be biased. :)

you are a moutarde.

vorticon you dont know what talking about. You had a mustard horseradish blend. Dowding is right and he should know as he's English.

Mustard varies all over the world. Plane yellow mustard is English.

I think Mickey's right as its called French's mustard.
