Pooh - you need to research your Spit Marks before you go making posts like that. Of all the ones you mentioned only two were in widespread use as fighters - The Marks II and VIII. The rest were either prototypes (Mark IV was the first Griffon engined Spit airframe and was later redesignated Mk XX, then Mk XII to keep everyone on their toes.), low volume high-alt fighters (Mark VII with much increased wing area and pressurised cabin), or photo reconaissance models (Mark XI).
If we really MUST have another spit, make it a bubble canopy E wing Mk XVI with the big tail fin. The Mk XVI is a Packard Merlin 266 engined Mk IX before everyone gets all excited about the XVI being superior to the XIV.
